Scuba Explorers Summer Camp landed in Dubai. The perfect Summer Camp activity!
Join The Dive Academy and learn to dive starting for kids from 8 years of age! This 2-week, 2,5 hours a day activity, enhances your kids in-water competence and knowledge about the wonderful underwater world! SSI Scuba Explorers will learn real diving skills during practical and theory classes and after completing these skills will able to join many adventures like: Treasure hunting, solving how to bring heavy objects to the surface during Search and Recovery. Exploring and building structures underwater during Wreck Exploration, or diving with Special underwater scooters!
The SSI Scuba Explorers Summer Camp is specially designed for kids that enjoy swimming but want to learn about diving yet are too young to participate in a Junior Open Water Course (Minimum Age 10 years old). Kids that turn 10 years of age can earn dive credit towards their Open Water Certification!

Week 1 - Learn to dive and become confident IN- & UNDERWATER!
We start with theory and understanding what is required to be a diver. Basic theory session followed by snorkeling, duck breath hold diving and understanding of pressure changes. We gradually look at setting up real diving equipment and learn how to perform the basic stills for scuba diving.
Week 2 - Master unique fun skills & become a SSI Master Explorer!
Master Buoyancy like a rockstar, find treasure underwater and recover it! Learn to dive in the fast lane using real underwater scooters and explore and build your own wreck and learn about different gases like a pro!
Timings: Class starts at 13:30 sharp and we are finished around 16:00.

Safety is our priority; all of our Scuba Explorers sessions have a maximum ratio of 3 Explorers to 1 Instructor, so your child is well looked after and gets the most out of each session.
Frequently asked questions for Scuba Explorers Summer Camp
Swim cloths (swim trunks, bikini, bathing suit) and a towel. We take care of all the diving equipment. We advise kids to wear a sports t-shirt that can wet although this is optional.
No. You must start with Snorkel Explorer and then Scuba Explorer Sessions 1 to 5. This will ensure you are comfortable for your Specialty Sessions.
No, but in order to complete the camp then yes. However, (redo)-sessions can be done on a schedule to suit you, provided Snorkel Explorer and Scuba Explorer 1 to 5 are in order. Additional Costs can be found here
Unfortunately not. Parents are allowed to watch and take photos but can not participate during the Explorers Sessions. Once Scuba Explorer is completed, you can book a dedicated Pool Session with your kids so they can show you what they learned. For more information please contact us for a dedicated booking.

Yes, you are welcome to do a session again
Although it is possible, there will be times when extra time or work will be required to complete the session.
Short Answer is no. However kids that complete the camp will get (digital) recognition cards for each participated specialty to show off. Printed cards at the end of the week are also available. The skills kids learn are real open water divers skills that they can use towards achieving the Junior Open Water Diver Certification, once they reach 10 years of age.
